German Intensive at Deutsches Haus accepts teens, ages 16 and up, who are highly interested in learning German. There are two sessions offered over the summer, each lasting five weeks. Deutsches Haus also offers lectures, film screenings, art exhibitions and a book club.
NYU Precollege offers high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to take college level courses and earn college credits. The program includes social events and workshops about the college admissions process. Courses are available in 32 different subject areas. University housing is available for NYU Precollege participants.
Urban Journalism Workshop is a 10 day intensive workshop with the goal of encouraging minority youth to consider a career in journalism. This program is open to high school juniors and seniors who live in the New York Metropolitan area.
Science & Technology Entry Program (STEP) and the Building Excellence in Science and Technology (BEST) Program at NYU is an innovative pre-college enrichment program for talented middle and high school students in New York City. Our goal is to encourage and increase the presence of historically under-represented groups in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM careers) and licensed professions.
Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development holds programs for high school students that cover a broad range of interests in the areas of art, music and theater. Students live in NYU housing for many of these programs. Offerings include:

Tisch School of the Arts offers high school students an opportunity to participate in intensive training and explore a professional arts training program while earning college credits.
